Objective of the game

Rocket League is a football game in which the player controls a car. To score a goal, you have to push a giant ball so that it lands in the opponent's goal. On the pitch, you can collect energy to activate a turbo boost and go faster. Players can also have fun performing tricks to hit the ball in original ways and produce unique shots.

The testers' opinion

Rocket League fully embraces its status as the sequel to a crazy, off-the-wall game and offers the same concept, updated for today's tastes. While the single-player experience leaves a slightly frustrating taste in the mouth, due to its limited lifespan and AI that is sometimes very weak and sometimes too precise depending on the difficulty level chosen, the game's true potential is clearly revealed in multiplayer mode.

Offering a split-screen mode for up to four players and online play for up to eight, Rocket League puts us at the heart of an unusual sport, served up with basic gameplay that still requires a certain amount of skill and a touch of strategy if you want to build a high-quality, spectacular game. A great choice for evenings with friends and for fans of online gaming.

In brief

Benefits for the player

Reflexes Rocket League is a game that requires you to control your vehicle well to ensure that the ball lands where you want it to, which requires dexterity and good control of the controller.

Mutual aid With team game modes for at least two players, Rocket League requires coordination with your partner in order to score goals and prevent the opposition from scoring.
