Interventions for secondary school pupils
Awareness of internet usage
This educational programme is aimed at students of 2nde, 1ère and Terminale, of all sections (general, technological, vocational and agricultural high schools), aged 14 to 17. The aim is to raise young people's awareness of digital issues through interactive exchanges, of the concrete situations and participatory debates.
It provides a forum for benevolent, allowing young people to express their uses, their questions and their experiences, while developing their critical thinking skills.
The aim is to encourage enlightened, secure and fulfilling use of digital technology, It's in tune with the realities and practices of today's secondary school students.
Even though they are often very familiar with digital tools, high school students still underestimate certain risks These include exposure of their private lives, dissemination of intimate images, attacks on their reputations, online manipulation and screen addiction.
This intervention therefore takes a cross-cutting approach to all the issues linked to their daily connected lives and to harassment.
The Association's organisers will also be presenting 3018, the number for victims and witnesses of digital harassment and violence, operated by the Association e-Enfance / 3018.
Learning objectives
At the end of the modules, students will be able to :
- Analysing the impact screens on sleep, attention, concentration and mental well-being.
- Learning to manage better screen time independently and responsibly.
- Protect personal data, privacy and understanding the challenges of digital technology.
- Thinking about information and content we share online and their consequences.
- Identifying and understanding the different forms of harassment and cyberbullying.
- Visit its rights and duties, understand the law and know how to act or support a loved one in difficulty.
- Understanding consent, limits and respect in online relationships.
- Identify risks associated with inappropriate content (pornography, blackmail, etc.)
- Understanding the mechanisms of entry into situations of sexual exploitation of minors.
- Developing a critical mind dealing with online content: fake news, scams, dangerous challenges.
- Knowing where to turn in the event of a problem and be aware of reporting mechanisms such as 3018.
Programme themes
Each session is tailor-made around A choice of 2 or 3 themes, In order to best adapt to the age of the participants, their needs and the educational objectives of the establishment or facility:
- Staying healthy facing screens
- Protect your personal data and its digital identity
- Fighting against harassment and the cyberbullying
- Managing your online relations, privacy and consent
- Reacting to offensive content, and online influence
- Treating’information and the misinformation online
- Preventing the sexual exploitation of minors
Practical information
- Class level: Year 12, Year 13 and Year 14 (all general, technical, vocational and agricultural secondary schools)
- Age of audience: 14 to 17 years old
- Objective: to understand the impact of screens on health
- Duration of the procedure: 2 hours
- Enrolment: 1 class per session (30 pupils)
- Session led by a facilitator from the e-Enfance Association / 3018
- Format: Face-to-face at your school
- Schedule: up to 3 sessions per day between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
