Conferences for parents

I discover my children's internet usage

Objectives

Parents often have the unpleasant feeling that they are overwhelmed by their children's digital lives (social media, screen time, video games, etc.) and that they do not understand the codes as well as their children do. They sometimes feel that they lack the resources and ease to support their children in this digital environment, which is becoming increasingly important. This often leads to two opposing behaviours: one concern too significant, or a trivialisation of dangers which their children may face.

However, by learning how to use the internet and gaining a broad understanding of how young people use digital tools, they can become true e-parents !

A recognised public interest organisation and official partner of the French Ministry of Education in the fight against cyberbullying, the e-Enfance / 3018 Association organises Internet risk prevention sessions for parents.

With his educational intervention I am learning how to use the Internet, The e-Enfance Association / 3018 reassures parents about their skills and provides them with keys to protecting their child.

Topics covered

Themes tailored to parents and the age of their children :

  • For parents whose children are in primary school, The e-Enfance Association / 3018 focuses its educational activities on supporting parents. The aim is to provide a better understanding of the digital world in which children live (personal data, video games, cyberbullying, inappropriate content).
  • For parents of teenagers, Whether they are in secondary school or sixth form, the e-Enfance / 3018 Association addresses broader topics that correspond to the practices of teenagers. (cyberbullying (respecting the law on the internet, respecting oneself and others), health risks (screen time, sleep), personal data protection (e-reputation), sexuality (exposure to pornography, romantic relationships), video game use (addiction), misinformation (fake news and conspiracy theories), self-endangerment (challenges).
