The Déclic Workshops

An offer to guide parents of children under 6 in their use of screens.

Guiding parents of children aged 0-3 in their use of screens

From the age of 2, children spend an average of 1 hour per day in front of a screen. ¹

Children's first steps on the Internet take place as early as 5 years and 10 months ².

Furthermore, 72% of parents are awaiting information on the impact of digital technology on their child's development. ³.

Children's introduction to digital technology and their relationship with screens is a major challenge.

The e-Enfance Association / 3018 and the Fondation pour l’Enfance have developed Les Ateliers Déclic, to enable future parents, new parents and anyone else concerned to implement solutions that are suitable for their household.

Are you a committed company or organisation?

The e-Enfance / 3018 Association invites you to implement the following in your organisation: The Déclic Workshops with your colleagues, parents of young children.

Objectives of the scheme

  • Inform parents about child development and needs in order to fully understand the impacts of screen exposure and usage.
  • Share tips and define best practices for sensible use that is suited to each participant's family life.

The Declic Workshops programme

To make them as accessible as possible, The Déclic Workshops are deployed directly at the parents' workplace.

They are organised into 2 hours, with around ten participants per group and one facilitator from the e-Enfance Association / 3018.

A fun workshop based on collective intelligence, structured around three stages:

  • Self-assessment to question your screen usage in your life,

  • Role-playing game to understand the impact of digital technology on child development.,

  • Implementation of simple and realistic solutions.
