On occasion of the Summit for Action on AI and of the Safer Internet Day 2025, the Association e-Childhood/3018 is stepping up its efforts to raise awareness, protect and support young people in the face of the dangers of AI.
If AI revolutionises our daily lives, it also exposes young people to new threats online. Deepfakes, sextortion, identity theft, misinformation…
As as the reference association in France of the Child Protection on the internet, we would like to remind you that our vigilance Everyone must be on board. It is imperative to anticipate potential pitfalls and proactively establish guidelines for young users to ensure their safety and cognitive, emotional, and socio-emotional well-being at all times.
Safer Internet Day 2025
raising awareness among young people about the risks of AI
The 11th February 2025, the 22nd edition from Safer Internet Day, initiated by the European Commission, will highlight the impact of AI on our digital citizenship.
- How is AI shaping our online interactions?
- What role does it play in the spread of false information?
- Can it protect our personal data or, on the contrary, make it more vulnerable?
This day marks the start of a series of awareness-raising activities for children, in which teachers, professionals and parents are invited to actively participate.
A campaign to sharpen teenagers' critical thinking skills
To address the challenges posed by AI, e-Childhood/3018 launches the campaign «AI and cyberviolence – Separating fact from fiction», with three key objectives:
- Inform : Understanding how AI is used to manipulate and deceive.
- Learning to verify Detecting deepfakes, identifying fake news, being wary of content, knowing how to respond to deepnudes.
- Developing the right habits Protect your data, report abuse, and prevent the spread of misinformation.
… and recall the key role of 3018: supporting and protecting young people.
As 1st trusted signalman designated by ARCOM within the framework of the Digital Services Act, the 3018 plays a central role in combating content harmful to minors. Thanks to this unique status, it can intervene promptly to report and have dangerous content removed from social media, forums, messaging services and online platforms.
The Summit for Action on AI – 10 & 11 February 2025
The acceleration of AI is outpacing regulations and protective measures. During the Summit for Action on AI In Paris, e-Enfance/3018 reiterates the importance of’anticipate dangers and act proactively.

In France, the Safer Internet Day is placed by Europe under the responsibility of Safer Internet France (https://www.saferinternet.fr/), whose 3018 is part of, with the mission of addressing online security issues and offering concrete solutions. The event is led on behalf of the consortium by the programme. Internet without Fear, in collaboration with the 3018 and the reporting platform Contact Point. The Safer Internet Day is also an integral part of the programme pHARe from the French Ministry of Education, a programme to combat bullying in schools.
