A career dedicated to serving children
A police commander who has been involved in the fight against sexual violence against children for over 20 years, she headed the Central Group for Child Victims (GCMV) for eight years and most recently held the position of head of strategy at the Office for Minors (OFMIN) within the French National Police.
In 2024, she published Behind the screen, combating the explosion of online child sexual abuse (published by Stock), A shocking and well-researched book that raises awareness about the extent of this violence and the need for a collective response.
A strategic mission serving young people
With over 20 years of experience and a long-standing collaborator of the Association, Véronique Béchu, Director of the Observatory, will bring a strategic and operational vision to analyse data from 3018, anticipate new digital threats, and strengthen public policies in collaboration with national and international partners.
