Raising children's awareness of the dangers of the internet: the e-Enfance/3018 Association launches a ready-to-use training programme for local youth workers

The e-Enfance/3018 Association is launching a new turnkey training programme on offer“The Superheroes of the Internet”, one edutainment programme designed for 6-10 year olds, for the attention of local community leaders.

This offer is presented at 2023 Mayors and Local Authorities Exhibition, held in Paris until 23 November, at the Association's stand (Pavilion 6, Stand J29).

Six years and ten months is the age at which children start using the internet on their own*. They are naturally unaware of the risks involved, and their parents are often unfamiliar with their children's digital habits. To prevent these dangers, the e-Enfance/3018 Association is expanding its prevention services with this training module. For the attention of local community leaders.

Currently deployed throughout France, this turnkey programme enables children to learn how to use the internet safely thanks to advice from superheroes. They are also made aware of a better understanding and management of their emotions, which helps to promote development of empathy.

Recognised by the Ministry of Education and Youth and included in the pHARe programme, “Les Super-Héros du Net” (The Internet Superheroes) comprises a day of training which addresses six key themes:

• Respect others and know how to respond to harassment

• Protecting yourself from inappropriate content on the Internet

• Protecting your image and personal data

• Controlling screen time

• Protecting yourself against misinformation

• Avoid scams and fraud on the Internet
