On Tuesday, 21 September, General Christian RODRIGUEZ, Director General of the National Gendarmerie (DGGN), visited the headquarters of the e-Enfance Association, which operates 3018, the national helpline for young victims of digital violence. On this occasion, the National Gendarmerie and the e-Enfance Association signed a partnership agreement formalising a long-term collaboration between the two institutions.
Recognised as a public utility in its mission to protect minors on the Internet for 15 years, The e-Enfance Association has been working with the national police force for over three years. in order to strengthen the protection and care of young victims of digital violence.
This collaboration is structured around several components, including:
Training of police officers
Throughout the year, the e-Enfance Association trains military police officers in the digital habits of minors and potential forms of violence, including cyberbullying.
Care for victims
The gendarmerie's services rely on the intervention capacity of 3018, which can have illegal and/or harmful content removed within a few hours. As a trusted third party for platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, Discord, Yubo, Mym, etc.), 3018 has a priority reporting procedure that is unique in France.
