«It's scary because there are some weird things»: how can we protect teenagers from the ravages of pornography? «Do you know anyone who has said to you, ‘I've seen pornographic images'?» The question, asked by the director of operations of the e-Enfance association, who was speaking that day in a Year 9 class, was met with only a few timidly raised hands. And yet, one in two children under the age of twelve has already been exposed to pornographic images. Some have sought them out, encouraged by older children, while others have been exposed to spontaneous advertisements while playing on their mobile phones, for example. «The first time, it shocked me,» one of the pupils told TF1 cameras filming the «grand format» report at the top of this article. «It's scary because there are some weird things,» adds one of his classmates, while another mentions a "feeling of disgust". The problem is that they feel it is impossible to talk to their parents about it.
