SUMMARY
The game takes place in a world where humanity lives in the clouds on creatures called Titans. Rex, the hero of the series, has promised to take his friend Pyra to Elysium, a legendary place. He therefore embarks on numerous adventures. The key feature of the game is its highly complex yet comprehensive combat system. The player character has blades that allow them to perform different combos when switching from one blade to another: the blades are nothing less than characters attached to them. The blade being linked to him, he can then use a new type of combo and a new elemental type that will affect his attacks and to which his opponents are more or less sensitive. It is therefore a question of managing the blades and elemental powers, timing and combat well in order to harness the full power of the combat system, which will reward the player with greater rewards. In terms of exploration, the game is an open world where players must wander around to complete objectives, collect new blades and new powers, and of course follow the narrative thread of the story, which is the strong point of the Xenoblade licence.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is ultimately quite difficult to grasp; the game's combat system is extremely complex for a beginner, which can be discouraging during the first few hours of play. However, it remains rewarding once you understand it. Xenoblade also offers a fairly substantial playing time.
