Launch of Ateliers Déclic workshops for businesses to guide parents of children under 6 in their use of screens

Children's first steps on the internet take place from 5 years and 10 months 1. Furthermore, 72% of parents are not sufficiently informed about the impact of digital technology on their children's development. 2.

In light of this observation, the Fondation pour l’Enfance and the Association e-Enfance / 3018 are launching The Déclic Workshops. A device designed in partnership with AFPA, French Association of Outpatient Paediatrics, to help parents understand the challenges of digital usage within the family and provide them with practical solutions to bring about behavioural change at home.

These fun workshops are based on collective intelligence and are mainly aimed at future and new parents, as well as anyone else who may be interested.

To make them as accessible as possible, Les Ateliers Déclic are deployed directly at the parents' workplace. Companies that commit to this approach are thus enabling the prevention and support of their employees in the digital sphere, which is a genuine public health issue.

Les Ateliers Déclic consists of two hours of discussion, around ten participants per group and a facilitator from The e-Enfance Association / 3018. They are organised into 3-stroke :

  • Self-assessment to question your screen usage in your life,
  • Role-playing game to understand the impact of digital technology on child development.,
  • Implementation of simple and realistic solutions.
What is the aim of these workshops? Share tips and define best practices for healthy and peaceful digital use within the family.
