The Association alongside ARCOM on blocking pornographic websites to minors

In early September, the court examined the request for blocking, made by ARCOM (the French Regulatory Authority for Audiovisual and Digital Communication, formerly CSA), of five pornographic websites (Pornhub, XVideos, XNXX, XHamster and Tukif). These are considered too easily accessible to minors, as the legal age verification process is too simple to circumvent.

The e-Enfance/3018 Association, committed to protecting minors on the internet, has joined forces with ARCOM and other associations in favour of blocking these pornographic websites.

Justine Atlan, Managing Director of the e-Enfance/3018 Association, was interviewed by several media outlets (France 2, France 5, RMC, Sud Radio, La Croix, etc.) regarding the legal action taken by ARCOM.

On the programme «C à vous» on France 5, she explains: »Pornography has always been prohibited to minors. And On the internet, this is not the case: children and teenagers can freely access pornographic websites.. For the past two years, A new law requires them to implement a system that allows them to actually verify that their visitors are of legal age... and they haven't been applying it for two years! »
