Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, Minister for Sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Samuel Comblez, Deputy Director of the Association, signed an agreement aimed at improving prevent and act to protect young people from harassment in the sports executive.
The violence and the cyberbullying are unfortunately also realities in the world of sport. In sports federations, 41% incidents of violence reported concern victims under the age of 15*.
Prevention initiatives and training for those involved in sport
This agreement provides for the deployment by the Association of’prevention and training initiatives on the subjects digital at of sports coaches working with minors. There are also plans to strengthen the’display of 3018 in sports facilities, so that young athletes can find someone to listen to them and help them with their endeavours.
Reporting cases to Signal-Sports, the national unit of the Ministry of Sport
To ensure maximum protection for young athletes, the agreement also provides for increase in reports carried out by the 3018 in the sporting context at signal sports, the national unit for monitoring and handling reports from the Ministry.
For Samuel Comblez: «Young athletes must also be made aware of and protected from cyberbullying, so that sport can remain a place of enjoyment and cohesion.»
