On Tuesday, 15 October, e-Enfance participated in Facebook's Online Civic Engagement Fund evening event.
A year ago, Facebook launched the first Online Civic Engagement Fund to support projects combating harassment and hate speech and promoting critical thinking (€1 million to finance citizen initiatives). The Facebook Fund for Online Civility rewards French initiatives from all walks of life (associations, entrepreneurship, education, technology, etc.) that seek to make the internet a more respectful space by promoting responsible behaviour and combating incivility.
Present for the occasion were: Laurent Solly, Vice-President of Facebook Southern Europe; ; Adrien Taquet, Secretary of State for Child Protection; ; Gabriel Attal, Secretary of State for National Education; ; Karim Amellal, Chief Executive Officer of Civic Fab ; Cyril de Palma, Chief Executive Officer of Génération Numérique; ; Hugo Decrypts, journalist and YouTuber on digital technology and the relationship with information; ; Camille Rousselet, clinical psychologist at Caen University Hospital and leader of the Cap Ados Caen project; ; Diariata N'Diaye, Director and Founder of the Resonantes association, Grand Prize winner of the first edition of the Online Civic Engagement Fund, for the fight against violence against women; ; Anton Maria Battesti, Head of Public Affairs at Facebook France and artists Lola Dubini and Joyce Jonathan.
During the evening, a video presented the 12 winning projects from the Online Civics Fund, including e-Enfance, based on virtual reality immersion (Reverto).
We are also delighted to learn that the Fund will be renewed in 2020.
