The e-Enfance Association / 3018 is organising its first symposium on the mechanisms of bullying among young people.

On the occasion of National Day Against Bullying in Schools, The e-Enfance Association / 3018 organised its first symposium dedicated to the mechanisms of bullying among young people and the current state of existing public policies in this area.

A key moment to highlight the scale of the phenomenon and strengthen collective mobilisation around prevention and the fight against all forms of bullying at school as the’cyberbullying.

Understanding the dynamics of harassment to take more effective action

This symposium provided an opportunity to present in detail the results of the annual survey on bullying and cyberbullying among 6-18 year olds, conducted by Audirep with the support of Caisse d'Épargne. This benchmark study provides essential insight into the reality experienced by young people and developments in this phenomenon.

Discussions also focused on individual and social dynamics harassment, through the triptych victim/witness/perpetrator. The speakers emphasised the need to promote opportunities for discussion and empathy education in order to prevent the recurrence of violence and strengthen cohesion among peers.

An overview of existing public policies and measures

The second round table provided an opportunity to analyse the public policies, prevention measures and the coordination mechanisms between the various stakeholders: schools, sports clubs, extracurricular activities and digital platforms.

These exchanges highlighted the need for concerted action between institutions, associations and actors in the field to provide appropriate and consistent responses to young people victims of harassment.

This meeting brought together a plurality of institutional, academic and field experts, in a spirit of constructive exchange. Together, they contributed to deepen understanding of the phenomenon and to identify common courses of action to strengthen the protection of minors.

The e-Enfance / 3018 Association would like to thank all participants, speakers and partners for their commitment and valuable contributions.

This symposium marks the launch of a series of meetings that the association will devote to the challenges of protecting minors from digital violence.

The next meeting will be announced shortly.
