TF1 – News – Internet for children: should access be restricted?

The Chinese government is considering a radical decision that is provoking numerous reactions: prohibit minors from accessing the internet between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. in order to step away from screens. In France, It would obviously be impossible to implement such a measure, because the law prohibits it.

When asked about the subject, Justine Atlan, Chief Executive of the Association, explains that there are simple solutions to implement by parents:

  • Delaying smartphone equipment and prioritise the purchase of a standard telephone.
  • Fix immediately time limits on usage well explain how to use the telephone to his child.

She also emphasises the importance of discussing digital usage with your child.

? It should be noted that starting next year, the Parental controls must be installed by default. and automatically suggested on all equipment sold in France, from smartphones to gaming consoles.
