Mockery and insults on social media are becoming increasingly common among young people. That is why Sophie Bordry, a child protection specialist, developed the Stop Bashing app. Available on the App Store and Android, this app allows 8- to 13-year-olds to instantly alert their parents when they are being bullied.
It is easy to use: if a teenager receives an offensive text message, they can send a screenshot of the comment to their parents with a single click. In response, their parents can help them by sending a reply in the form of a coloured icon. A green icon means «it's okay», orange means «we need to talk about this together» and red means «be careful, an adult needs to intervene». If the icon is red, the app allows the child to contact e-Enfance directly via our freephone number 3018.
