e-Enfance Association / 3018 at Paris Games Week 2024: raising awareness and engaging with gamers and parents

The Paris Games Week 2024 was a unique opportunity for e-Childhood / 3018 to meet with parents and young players in order to raise awareness of the issues surrounding online protection.

Informing and supporting families

At our stand, the teams from Prevention Division of the Association suggested to parents demonstrations on how to set up parental controls on the main video game consoles (Xbox, PlayStation...). This is essential when we consider that 70% of 10-17 year olds spend at least one hour per day playing video games. (SELL study, 2024).

We also facilitated discussions on the protection of young players, addressing topics such as time spent on games, moderation of online discussions and combating cyberbullying.

A conference to protect young players

As part of the event, a A conference dedicated to the protection of young people in video games was organised, in which we took part.. This exchange provided an opportunity to discuss the risks associated with cyberbullying and online interactions, as well as the importance of’effective moderation tools and from digital education to ensure a secure gaming environment.
