Access parental control settings
The parental controls on the PlayStation 5 use the system of “Family management” : the parent's account is linked to the children's accounts, and only parents can set up parental controls. You can set up your “family” via a web browser, or directly from the console.
On a web browser
- Log in to your PlayStation account, or create one, by following this link (https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/). You will be considered the head of the family.
- Go to the family management page: “Account management > Family management > Add a family member”. Click on “Add a child“ then create an account. You can then set up parental controls.
- To help you manage parental controls, you can set up additional accounts.“adult”. On the same page “Family management”, select “Add an adult”.
- You will then need to tick the box « Parent/guardian » so that adults can modify the parental control settings for all children in the family.

On your PlayStation 5
- After logging into your PlayStation account, go to the settings.
- Display the menu “Family and parental control”.
- In this menu, you have two options: restrict access to this console if your child is the only one using it, or manage your family. For the first option, you must set a PIN code (0000 by default, but can be changed later), then choose the parental control settings. Family management is the same as on a web browser.
