Children's online safety: the government calls for action
Emmanuel Macron and UNICEF launch a Call to Action to defend children's rights in the digital environment.
The objective: to better protect them from cyberbullying and exposure to illegal or hateful content online.
Several major digital platforms are committed to supporting this call to action to better protect children from the dangers of the digital world. These include Amazon, Dailymotion, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Qwant, Snap, Twitter and YouTube.
Numerous non-governmental organisations and associations also support the defence of children's rights in the digital environment (l‘Association e-Childhood/3018, WeProtect Global Alliance, Plan International, Save the Children, Point de contact, Observatoire de la parentalité et de l’éducation numérique, Fondation pour l’enfance, Internet sans crainte, Fédération nationale des écoles des parents, Génération numérique). Their commitment: to facilitate children's access to technology and digital literacy while ensuring their protection.
