Swap, haul, vlog, unboxing... You've probably heard these terms in your teenagers' conversations. What language are they speaking? e-Enfance breaks down the latest YouTube vocabulary for you, specifically the terms used by female YouTubers:

HAUL 

It is the act of showing off one's latest purchases in videos.

SWAP

To swap: to exchange in English. Among YouTubers, this refers to an exchange of parcels between them. The parcels received are opened live on camera.

UNBOXING

Unboxing in English. A common practice among YouTubers, bloggers, and Instagrammers, which involves opening parcels live on video.

VLOG

Contraction of video and blog. Video recounting the life of a YouTuber: events, daily life, appointments, travels, etc.

GRWM

Acronym for Getting Ready With Me. Also known as morning routine or night routine. The YouTuber allows you to follow them step by step through their morning routine, from breakfast to applying make-up and choosing their outfit.
