Apple took advantage of the latest update to iOS – the operating system used on iPhones, among other devices – to offer users new emojis, those little characters we use in emails and text messages (like smileys, for example).
Among these new emojis, one of them is shaped like an eye in a text bubble. Apple – in collaboration with the NGO Ad Council – developed it with a very clear objective: to give mobile users who witness harassment the opportunity to show their support for the person being harassed.
