Minors' access to online pornography is a widespread phenomenon that is getting worse every year: Arcom has released the latest figures from Médiamétrie, which show an alarming increase in the number of minors exposed: +36% in 5 years.
So, every month:
- 2.3 million minors attend pornographic websites, a figure that has grown rapidly in recent years.
- 30% minors visit an adult website (compared to 37% for adults), and 9% daily
- 51% for boys aged 12–13 visits these sites, 65% for 16 and 17 year olds.
- on average 12% of adult website audience is carried out by miners (17% at certain sites)
- 75% miners who visit pornographic websites do so exclusively on their smartphone (55% for adults)
