Since March 2022, bullying at school has been recognised as a criminal offence, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a €150,000 fine in cases of suicide or attempted suicide. Faced with the rise of cyberbullying, 3018, the single helpline number for victims of online harassment and violence, provides daily support to young people and their families.
The 3018 teams intervene for:
- Accompany psychologically and legally support victims, particularly in emergency situations.
- Report and have removed videos and content shared on social media, thanks to a direct link with moderators from Snapchat, TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms.
- Ensure the safety of minors, calling the emergency services or fire brigade if necessary to prevent any harmful actions.
3018 is open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Free, anonymous and confidential, available by telephone, chat on 3018.fr or via the App 3018.
