Cyberbullying has taken over from school bullying since lockdown. By pushing teenagers to spend even more time on social media without necessarily being supervised by adults, last spring's lockdown accelerated the phenomenon of cyberbullying, which was then confirmed by a sharp increase in reported cases in September. Online bullying has been on the rise for several years. Typically, students create a WhatsApp or Facebook group for their class, where messages, insults and false rumours are immediately shared with a single click.
