SUMMARY
Journey is an adventure game in which the player takes on the role of a mysterious character who travels through a vast desert environment of past civilisations, always in search of a distant mountain. The game emphasises a sense of solitude and the feeling of grandeur in relation to the player's small size. The player must solve puzzles and interact with the enigmatic environment around them in order to progress. Although it is an adventure game, the game includes a real element of reflection and puzzle-solving. It may be too abstract for very young children. The game is very contemplative and does not have any “dynamic” content that a child could easily latch onto. However, it is short and can prove to be an engaging experience.
