International Children's Rights Day: 29 YEARS!

On 20 November 1989, the United Nations (UN) adopted the International Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) to guarantee the rights of children around the world.

29 years of fighting for children's rights to be respected around the world. BUT today, in 2018, 265 million children do not have access to school! All children should enjoy optimal conditions for their development and fulfilment.

To mark this day, UNICEF invites us to join the #GoBlue movement. You too can wear blue on 20 November 2018 to show your support for children's causes. We also invite you to sign the petition and share the video clip made for the occasion, featuring actors Millie Bobby Brown and Orlando Bloom. This campaign, entitled “Blue for Every Child”, invites all UNICEF supporters to wear blue clothing or use the colour blue to show their support for children's rights.

«World Children's Day is a fun day with a serious message,» says the young actress. «On this day, we encourage all children to speak up about what matters to them, such as receiving an education, having safe spaces to learn and play, and growing up in positive environments. By wearing blue for every child for UNICEF on this day, we are asking the world to give children a promising future.»
