Google refunds app purchases made by children

Google recently announced that it would refund nearly £19 million for app purchases made on Google Play (Android) by minors without parental consent. The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) initiated proceedings against Google at the end of 2011 for «unfair practices» in charging very high amounts accumulated by children.

The e-Enfance association strongly recommends that parents use monitoring software and supervise their children when they use services on various mobile devices (tablets and phones).
