Samuel Comblez, the Director of 3018 was interviewed by France News about the sextortion.
He explains that you should not make your child feel guilty; it is better to’support in order to better protect. «If we tell teenagers today not to send nude photos, they will do it anyway, because it's part of their habits.», he asserts.
He therefore prefers to give advice: «If you really want to do it, OK. But do it properly. Start by making sure that not be recognisable. In practical terms, we will take a photograph of their body but not their head. If the photograph is published, there is no risk of them being recognised and therefore the scam is less likely to succeed.», he explains,
He also emphasises the importance of set up your social media accounts in «private», to prevent strangers from accessing its content.
