Guest on the set of Télématin, Samuel Comblez, director of operations for the Association and psychologist, was interviewed about the implementation of a system prohibiting minors from accessing pornographic websites.
He points out that although access to these sites is already prohibited to those under 18 years of age, «The majority of young people today go on the Internet to view pornographic images.». «Today the websites offer solutions who are completely inappropriate and unlawful. Today, if you visit pornographic websites, you have to click on a small cross to declare that you are of legal age. It's very easy. Obviously, all minors will declare that they are of legal age and have access to these images, which are completely unsuitable for them and will have an extremely powerful impact ».
For the psychologist, «Too many children are viewing pornographic images, too many teenagers are being psychologically affected by these images.». These contents are also problematic in that they convey a misleading image of their representation of their sexuality, bodies and the place of women.
Samuel Comblez points out that it is important to be able to make access more complex. The government will therefore propose a list of technical solutions that pornographic websites will have to use to make it more difficult for young people to access their sites.» The idea is to do roughly what banking systems do [...]. We will have to go through a third party to certify that we are of age. »Otherwise, pornographic websites will be banned in France.
