SUMMARY
Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle takes place in a space-time rift. All characters from the Dragon Ball Z universe are therefore present.
In this game, there are summoning portals containing different characters rated according to a rarity system and classified into several types. Each type represents a different fighting style and is illustrated by a colour. Each of these types is more vulnerable to another type, and this must be taken into account in your game strategy. For example, agile characters have an advantage over characters that rely solely on their power. The story mode and event missions allow you to transform your characters to obtain even rarer cards.
The player must form a team of six warriors from among those summoned. During battles, coloured balls will scroll across the screen, and the player must select the longest chain of balls of the same colour, ideally one that matches their warrior's type, to increase their power and launch a special attack to defeat their opponent. These special attacks are legendary techniques from the manga, such as the Kamehameha.
To summon characters, players must spend their dragon stones. These can be obtained for free in daily gifts, by completing challenges, and each time a level is completed for the first time. Portals are renewed fairly often, so players must summon regularly to keep up to date with the characters in the game and obtain the most powerful ones. Note that the result of a summon on a portal is purely random. The price of a single summon is 5 dragon stones and a multi-summon is 50 dragon stones.

The level of violence is similar to that found in cartoons and manga: martial arts fights between super-powered characters. There is no blood or particularly violent animation. However, you will need to keep a close eye on the purchase of dragon stones, as from level 100 onwards it becomes extremely difficult to obtain them in the game and the temptation to spend money on them will be strong for children.
