Suicide is the second leading cause of death among adolescents in France, and cyberbullying could well become a significant trigger for them to take their own lives.
It is therefore essential to raise awareness among as many people as possible in order to prevent cyberbullying from becoming more widespread. The e-Enfance Association organises numerous awareness-raising activities, particularly in secondary schools, sixth form colleges... but also in primary schools!
Indeed, screen use is becoming increasingly common among younger children, and it is not unusual to find even the youngest children on social media.
Justine Atlan, Director of the e-Enfance Association, appeared on France Inter's programme «Les Femmes, toute une histoire» to discuss the role of the association and cyberbullying in schools.
