Justine Atlan, Chief Executive Officer of the e-Enfance Association / 3018, and founding member of the national jury since 2013, presented two awards. One went to the Jean Macé vocational school in Choisy-le-Roi (Créteil academy) for its poster. «Presenting harassment through powerful words on one's body», the other at Évariste Galois Secondary School in Sartrouville (Versailles Academy) for his video «Poem of a Harassed Man».
This ceremony was an opportunity for Justine Atlan to reiterate that «Thanks to the interministerial plan, the 3018 has become the single number for reporting harassment in all its forms: at school, on social media, but also in sports or on holiday. If you are a witness or victim, there is only one place you can turn to: 3018.»
In his speech, Emmanuel Macron praised the work of the e-Enfance association, «which operates 3018, the single point of contact for issues relating to digital harassment and violence», recalling that «This award promotes a culture of mobilisation, vigilance and kindness.» Élisabeth Borne, for her part, emphasised that «The best way to eradicate harassment for future generations involves three key points: raising awareness, speaking up and listening.»
«No to Bullying» Award: a national initiative to raise awareness and protect young people
Launched in September 2013, the «No to Bullying» award, organised by the French Ministry of Education with the support of the MAE mutual insurance company, aims to give young people a voice schools, colleges, secondary schools and extracurricular facilities so that they speak out collectively about harassment through the creation of a poster or video, which will serve as a communication tool for the project they wish to carry out in their institution.
By giving young people a voice, this award aims to encourage them to take action against harassment. It aims to raise awareness of what victims experience, to better understand the mechanisms of harassment and to inform them of the means to take action.
A key event to encourage young people to react, alert and break the silence, especially when we know thattoday, more than one in three children (36 %) has already been confronted with a situation of harassment or cyberbullying.*
*Online survey Conducted by the Audirep Institute in May 2024 for the e-Enfance/3018 Association with the support of the Caisse d'Epargne. 1,602 parent-child pairs aged 6 to 18 in school were surveyed (3,204 respondents in total).
Massive participation
With 180,000 participants and 5,000 establishments which were nominated in nine categories, the 12th edition of the «No to Harassment» award reflects a growing engagement of young people around this issue. A strong sign that the fight against harassment has become a collective cause and a driver of change.
