Preventing excessive gambling: new campaign by La Française des Jeux

In order to promote responsible gaming, Française des Jeux is launching a digital campaign in the form of three 25-second adverts aimed at its 26 million players. The objective is to: promote its tools for mastering their use.

3 adverts = 3 tools to raise awareness

1. The chameleon: this advert highlights the “colour dot” tool. The chameleon's three colour changes – green, orange and then red – symbolise the tool used to assess one's playing practice and the associated colours.

2. The dog: this advert highlights the self-assessment tool for gambling behaviour. Too absorbed in its game, the animal confuses its paw with the ball and bites it violently! The FDJ directs players to an online test to identify problematic, risky or risk-free gambling behaviour.

3. The giraffe and the lemurs: this advert highlights the importance for players to set and manage their gaming limits.

La Française des Jeux strongly advises against gambling involving minors within the family. 11% of young people aged 15 to 17 surveyed as part of a 2014 ODJ/INPES study have a gambling problem (compared to 4.6% of adults).

The e-Enfance Association, supported by La Française des Jeux for over ten years, reminds us that gambling is prohibited for minors. It is everyone's responsibility not to introduce young people to this form of entertainment.
