Parental control Family Link

Access parental control settings

Family Link

Family Link parental control is an application that can be installed on: Android and Apple smartphones / certain computers (Chromebooks) / tablets. It can be used in the UK and 27 other countries. It is a free tool that requires a Google account.

The aim is to supervise your child's Google account until they reach the age of 13, when they will be old enough to manage it themselves. Once they reach this age, your child can decide for themselves whether they want you to continue to manage their account or whether they would prefer to manage it themselves.

To set up parental controls, you must install the Family Link app on both devices: the child/teenager's device and the parent's device. Please note that there are two different apps, one for the parent or account administrator and one for the child.

Family Link enables you to:
– Manage the applications that their child can use

– To guide him in his activities

– Set usage times (the device locks when the time limit is reached)

– Locate your child's device.

– In addition, Google suggests apps recommended by teachers to diversify and better guide your child's activities on their smartphone.
