SUMMARY
Hades depicts the escape of Zagreus, son of Hades, from the underworld. The player takes on the role of Zagreus and must escape by traversing rooms filled with monsters from Greek mythology. With each escape attempt, the player starts from the beginning and tries to get as far as possible before failing and dying. To get further and further with each attempt, the player will collect resources that allow them to improve their powers and become stronger.
Hades is a violent game, but without bloodshed. All battles pit the player against monsters or heroes from Greek mythology. The dialogues depict the usual themes of Greek mythology, without profanity or sexual references. However, the frustration caused by failure, as well as the motivation required to try again after a setback, make this a demanding game that may seem discouraging at first glance and is therefore not suitable for younger audiences. There is no online play or microtransactions; this is a purely solo experience.
