National Day Against Bullying in Schools: Let's not downplay what children are going through!

On the occasion of this new National Anti-Bullying Day (held every year in November), and following the announcement of the Interministerial Plan to combating bullying at school As announced by the Prime Minister on 27 September, the Government proposes:

  • one national communication campaign (video and display) with the slogan «Let's not minimise what children are going through!» . Specifically designed for adults, educators and parents to raise awareness of the potentially dramatic consequences that bullying can have on children's mental health.
  • One unprecedented survey of 7.5 million pupils, who will be able to identify whether they are victims of bullying : between Thursday 9 November and Wednesday 15 November, Two hours of school time are set aside to offer all pupils from Year 3 onwards, as well as all secondary school pupils,, to complete an anonymous self-assessment form to evaluate whether they are likely to be victims of bullying at school.

 

The 3018, operated by the e-Enfance Association since its launch in April 2021, becomes the single number to report incidents of bullying and cyberbullying among pupils and to support victims and witnesses, whether they are children, teenagers or their parents.
