Online violence against minors jumped by 571% in 2020. Teenagers aged 15 to 17 were particularly affected by webcam blackmail and revenge pornography.

Webcam blackmail, degrading photomontages, «revenge pornography», insults... Fuelled by successive lockdowns, cyberviolence targeting minors has jumped by 571% in 2020, warned the association e-Enfance, which runs a helpline dedicated to these issues, on Tuesday 2 February.
Last year, the number of calls to the helpline«Net Listening»The number of calls to the national helpline for the protection of minors on the internet and digital parenting support (0800 200 000) relating to this type of violence rose to 4,315, compared with 2,747 in 2019," the association's director general, Justine Atlan, told AFP.
