The Association e-Childhood launches in partnership with the Addiction Action Fund, the’Addict AIDE Association, the digital detox agency, In To the Tribe, the Happy Tech collective, the collective for digital moderation whose collective objective is to find solutions to combat the harmful effects of’hyperconnectivity and the attention economy. Launched on 21 June in the presence of the comedian Haroun, the collective intends to take significant action against these harmful effects.
Why this collective:
There is a manifest excess connection to digital tools, particularly smartphones, whose use has grown considerably in recent years. The amount of time spent connected to the internet, apps, messaging services, video games and social media illustrates this excess.
This digital hyperconnectivity has harmful effects (phubbing, multitasking, blurring) with multiple consequences for family life, social life, professional life and health.
Many testimonies illustrate the suffering and excesses caused by hyperconnectivity in everyday life. This is the result of a pernicious system built around the attention economy, whose mechanisms are particularly similar to those at play in the addiction phenomena.
The collective's first event brought together nearly 150 people. If you too would like to take action against the harmful effects of hyperconnectivity, Contact us to join the collective. Other events will be organised in the coming months to raise awareness among as many people as possible.
