Justine Atlan, Chief Executive Officer of the Association, was invited onto the set of The Nursery School on France 2 to address the subject of the use of screen time and social media use by children and adolescents.
She highlights some best practices to remember:
- Do not expose children to screens before the age of 3. to ensure their proper development.
- In primary school, we must ask ourselves whether screens have a real purpose, What will this bring them?
- À adolescence it is important to give them the good reflexes, of’regulate their use and the screen time.
It was also an opportunity for her to mention the early presence of children on social media. She recalls a striking figure from a recent study conducted for our Association:
67% of 8-10 year olds are already registered on a social network*.
