SUMMARY

Fire Emblem Fates is the first instalment in the series to be released in two versions: a «normal» version called Heritage and a darker, more difficult version called Conquest. The player controls an army made up of a multitude of characters from all walks of life, as well as a character they have created themselves. They act as a link between the two main families in the game, two families who control their kingdom. Depending on the version of the game, the player will face one family or the other. The Legacy version has a much more oriental style, a lower difficulty level and the possibility of reviving your characters, something that the Conquest version does not have; once they die, they stay dead. The game consists of a story mode only. Characters progress by defeating their opponents. Battles are turn-based.
