Point de Contact 2014 review: increase in child pornography

In 2014, more than 1,000 pieces of content were deemed to be child pornography by analysts at the Contact Point of the Association of Internet Access and Service Providers (AFA), twice as many as the previous year. This category accounts for 55.71% of reports received.

This is mainly due to the increase in the volume and relevance of reports of child pornography content.
431TB3T of content was deemed illegal by AFA analysts, compared to 31.71TB3T in 2013.

Despite the sharp increase in this type of content, Point de Contact, together with its partners (members of AFA, OCLCTIC, INHOPE, Interpol), was able to contribute to the removal of 97% of this content worldwide.
