INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST BULLYING 

Carrefour Assurance and the e-Enfance Association are committed to raising awareness among families about the proper use of digital technology. 

62% of teenagers say they cannot live without their smartphone for more than a day. Digital technology has become widespread in all households, exposing children and teenagers to numerous risks. One in ten teenagers report having been victims of cyberbullying*. Everyone can do their part to help protect themselves from the dangers of digital technology.  That is why Carrefour Insurance wants to support families on a daily basis and help parents and children better understand the challenges of digital technology, which has now become a public health and educational issue. To mark Anti-Bullying Day and in light of lockdown measures that have increased screen time, Carrefour Insurance and the e-Enfance Association are presenting Les Cliquadonffe, chronicles of a connected family, a tool designed to educate all members of the family about the proper use of digital technology in an informative and humorous way.

Raising awareness among families about good digital practices 

On the occasion of the Day against bullying among pupils On 5 November, which this year becomes a World Day under the auspices of UNESCO, Carrefour Assurance is joining forces with the e-Enfance Association to raise awareness among children, teenagers and their parents about good digital practices. Recognised as a public utility, the e-Enfance Association has been offering workshops for 15 years to raise awareness of good Internet practices and all the risks of cyber violence. Approved by the Ministry of National Education, it works in schools with children and teenagers and offers training to parents and all professionals. An official partner of the Ministry of National Education since 2011 in the prevention and fight against cyberbullying, it operates the free and confidential national helpline 3018, which provides advice and assistance to young victims and parents. 

Beyond providing protection in the event of a claim, Carrefour Insurance wants to play an active role in prevention, protecting and supporting its customers on a daily basis by providing cover tailored to all their needs, even intangible ones. The aim of this partnership is to support all families throughout the year by connecting them with the service. Net Listening 3018 and by key advice via thematic and educational guides tailored to each individual's needs in comic book form. 

The Cliquadonffe family, an educational tool for everyone  

Every month, Carrefour Insurance shares with its customers and partners the family chronicles  Cliquadonffe on its website insurance.carrefour.co.uk which depicts a connected family that everyone can relate to: the parents are active on social media and are keen on new technologies, while the children are constantly glued to their smartphones. Many topics are covered, accompanied by advice from an expert from the e-Enfance Association. The first comic, released in October, discusses the hyper-connectivity to which every member of the family may be exposed. The November comic raises awareness of cyberbullying and provides advice on how to deal with it. The content is aimed at parents but also at younger children, through everyday scenarios treated with humour and education to enable everyone to better understand and maintain control of the digital, without judging behaviours that we all share.

And If a child witnesses or is a victim of cyberbullying, the Net Ecoute 3018 platform combats cyberbullying. operated by the Association e-Enfance supports young victims and their parents by providing assistance and advice. It supports them with all issues encountered in their digital usage. TierAs a trusted partner, it directly reports inappropriate content to the moderation services of platforms and social networks. Free, anonymous and confidential, the service is equalAlso available by email, chat or messenger from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
