Hateful comments, harassment, pornographic photomontages, death or rape threats: Women are 27 times more likely to be targets of cyber violence.
73% of them have already experienced online violence. according to a UN report published in 2022. This is the case for Raphaëlle, Mira and Fanny, who agreed to share their stories in Victoria Garmier's documentary broadcast by M6 on 15 May.
The journalist investigated the cyberbullying against women and possible solutions, foremost among which are 3018, whom Victoria Garmier came to meet. In her report, she shows the helpline's ability to support victims and guide them through the necessary steps. And it highlights her role as trusted signaler with social networks and other platforms, which in 2023 made it possible to remove over 10,000 accounts and harmful content.
