The CSA is expanding its committee on the protection of young audiences, which now includes sixteen specialists in childhood, digital technology and audiovisual media.
A dual mission to protect young audiences:
Carole Bienaimé Besse and Nicolas Curien, CSA advisers and chair and vice-chair of the working group on youth protection, reiterate the dual mission of this committee:
- make recommendations on young audiences' exposure to traditional audiovisual content
- contribute to forward-looking work on issues relating to the protection of young audiences, particularly by incorporating digital developments.
Six areas of focus:
The committee and its experts have identified six priority themes for 2018:
- The fight against inappropriate content, particularly pornography
- Video games
- The offer for young people
- Screen consumption: active screens / passive screens
- Artificial intelligence, algorithms and platforms
