Launched in July in non-European countries, Meta Group's application is coming to France to compete with X (Twitter).
What do you need to know about Threads?
This is Meta's latest social network (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.) and already has over 100 million users worldwide. As it did not comply with European regulations when it was launched, the application had to be adapted before it could be made available in Europe.
Designed for compete with X, Although very similar in form, Threads nevertheless differs in substance:
- One single feed which combines posts from followed accounts and recommended accounts
- A strong ambition to moderation in order to better verify the information shared
- Up to 500 characters authorised by publication
- No private conversations
- One single hashtag authorised by publication
