84% of 18-24 year olds have already reported inappropriate content on social media

Arcom has just published the 2023 edition of its digital barometer, and its findings raise questions about the many risks associated with digital usage.

82% of the population aged 12 and over say they connect to the internet every day. This ultra-digitisation of our society is not without consequences, and confronts us with a sharp increase in cybercrime. Thus, 12% of respondents reported having been victims of insults, harassment, or defamation online in the past 12 months., and 41% of 18-25 year olds have been victims of fraud or online fraud.
On social media, more than 4 out of 10 users say they have already used a feature to report inappropriate accounts or content.. Tools particularly used by 18-24 year olds, where they account for 84%!
