Two social networks are testing new features along these lines. On Instagram, The new feature being tested is slightly different. Users can configure the times during which they do not wish to receive notifications. The application will display a «silent mode» status on their profile to notify other users that he has enabled this feature, and will alert your friends when messages are sent.
