- Contacting the person referred to as «missing» directly, if I know them and have the opportunity to do so.
- Wondering how long ago the Twitter account was created
- Analysing the account's profile photo: nowadays, more and more accounts use photos from the web or produced by AI. There is a tool that allows you to find out whether the photo comes from the web or not: Yandex.
- Checking whether the authorities have reported the person's disappearance and whether a formal search notice has been issued.
