Following the death of her father in early March 2022, Lou Pernaut, the daughter of journalist Jean-Pierre Pernaut, who is very active on social media, received numerous aggressive or even hateful messages accusing her of not being sad enough about her father's death and of looking too happy in her Instagram photos.
The young woman's response was swift, and she stated on her Instagram story: “This is the last time I will tolerate this kind of inappropriate remark (...) J’I would like you to understand that What I show you on social media is not necessarily how I feel in real life..”. She also reiterated that no one has the right to judge or send hateful messages to others.
If this kind of situation happens to you, know that the cyberbullying is a crime which is punishable by law.
